OP NOTE: THE NEXT SKYWARN SPOTTER TRAINING IS:

Wednesday, April 30th, 2014 from 6:30 PM-8:30 PM at Marsh Hall, Esparto High School 17121 Yolo Ave. Esparto, CA 95627

This training will cover observing and reporting severe weather in the area, including special weather challenges for Yolo and Solano Counties. This will enable interested adults to become volunteers for Project SKYWARN®, which helps keep local communities safe by providing timely and accurate reports of severe weather to the National Weather Service. The training is free. The training is co-sponsored by the Solano County Office of Emergency Services (OES) and Benicia Fire on April 3rd and Yolo County OES on April 30th. If you need more information on the training or would like to rsvp, send an e-mail to Eric.Kurth@noaa.gov.
