Ken, ki6bwm, called to say the Yolo Red Cross will be opening Waite hall as a gathering point and possibly a shelter later today.
No call for ARES at this time.
Please monitor the 446.025 repeater.
If simplex is needed, we might try to use:

Hopefully there will be no need for shelters, but be ready.

Red Cross Liaison Class
The Red Cross Liaison Class that was scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, December 14 from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Yolo ARES will be assisting in the presentation regarding emergency communications.

Annual Skywarn Recognition Day
The date is quickly approaching for the Annual Skywarn Recognition Day (Dec 3 00z-24z). This is a nationwide event involving National Weather Service offices all over the country. The event is to pay tribute to SKYWARN volunteers who during severe weather events, provide critical information to the NWS. It is a 24-hour operation where NWS offices exchange weather information with Amateur Radio operators all over the world. See *http://hamradio.noaa.gov* for all the details. 10/21/2005
