Special Traffic
Emergency / Priority traffic: None listed
Announcements
Announcements: None by Darrin - Bill KG6GNI made contact with the FCC rep in regards to the 440 repeaters. It appears that the demands on noise interference reduction will close down our access to the 440 system possibly both the BARK and the ARES repeaters. Not good news. The deadline to meet the requirements is around the end of August.
Ken KI6BWM
There is a meeting at the LDS church on 9/22/2007 with their ham radio operators. They would like to have some of the ARES group attend to discuss the process and the possible interaction between the groups. The date, time, and place will be announced later.
Official Traffic
Traffic: Bill K6KN questioned the next meeting for the antenna building project. It appears that we will plan that meeting at our next regular club meeting. The plan at this time is to set up a
Saturday to build them. Something that may work for everyone. Bill also stated that there are other 440 repeaters that work up here in the valley that we may be able to set up our nets with. He said that W6KAT and WINSYSEM may be options. Winsystem is a linked repeater being the only issue.
