On Sunday, a fellow had a heart attach in OR. His wife got the truck stopped. Darrin tried to save him, but he died. He did CPR and call for EMS.
Lessons learned:
1. on an incident like this, leave your vehicle parted in the traffic lane with the front wheeels pointed towards traffic.. if hit, it will go into traffic and NOT you and the victIm. He was almost hit several times.. Only the TRUCKs gave him some room.
2. For CPR you REALLY need a mask / barrier... nasty things happen if you don't (DArrin knows this as a fact)
3. Always know have a phoe,and know where you are. It took 220 minutes for EMS
4. YOU ARE NEVER REALLY READY FOR THIS
